About Me

Me on the right, my grandfather on the left.

Hi! I am a trombone player and composer from Grove City, Ohio. Above is a picture of me and my grandfather. Growing up I always had a passion for music, games, and film. Then one day I just sort of realized those are the things I enjoy most. So, when you put all those interests together, I guess you get a composer! Over the last four years I have studied trombone and composition at the Jacobs School of music in Indiana University Bloomington, and in the midst of my studies I worked on many different small video game projects, as well some short films. As of now, I have graduated from there with a degree in trombone performance and minor scoring for visual media! Here you will find some of my accumulated work that, represents what my music is all about.

This is a short track I wrote for a video game scoring class I took at the Jacobs School of Music. The class was taught by Garry Schyman, composer for Bioshock and Shadow of Mordor.

This is a piece of adaptive music. As the leaves swirl around with more or less intensity, the music automatically shifts to accompany it.

To the left is my submission for the 2024 summer Indie Film Music Contest.

To me this animation was all about the sadness and unfairness of this persons' situation. That they should have to face down the barrel of a gun just to get his groceries. I found myself thinking that it was unfair, and hopeless. As these decisions are being made by powers beyond their control.  So I decided to compose a piece that I felt matched the desolate and dark atmosphere of the animation. A track that would illuminate the sheer depression of it all. Trying to convey to the listener the same loneliness, anger, sadness, and hopelessness that the figure in the animation must be feeling.
